ancient land of mystery and the largest single national population on the planet.   It is this theme that songsmith and singer Noël takes us to in his newest album, XING.  Pronounced "zjeng", the title means "new, novel, fresh" in Mandarin.  In the west, Xing is an abbreviation for "crossing" and that's what this album is becoming - a crossing of ideas and historical reference, all tied to Noël's gift for melody and verse.  Look for Noel's Xing in the coming months.  In the meantime, here's a taste, downloadable for your personal collection:
